Mozart Concerto for Piano No. 13 in C major, K 415
Howard Shelley and London Mozart Players return to St John’s Smith Square for the third season of their highly successful lunchtime concert series Mozart Explored. For the second concert in the series, Howard Shelley will explore Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.13, a concerto that develops the soloist’s role to be displayed more prominently than in previous works, while the orchestra sees the use of more counterpoint that in previous concerti. Full of life, the work sees no shortage of ideas, that the composer can’t wait to show the audience.
