London Mozart Players present the first of a special two-part evening series with Classical BRIT award-winning violinist Nicola Benedetti. In an evening celebrating Brahms, the Scottish-born instrumentalist demonstrates why she is one of the most sought after violinists of her generation as she performs the German composer’s Violin Concerto in D, labelled one of the great four German violin concerti by Joseph Joachim.
Founded in 1949 by Harry Blech, London Mozart Players is the UK’s longest established chamber orchestra. Known for its unmistakable British roots, the orchestra has developed an outstanding reputation for adventurous, ambitious programming, from Baroque through to genre-crossing contemporary music. Following on from the success of their Piano Explored lunchtime series with Howard Shelley, the orchestra returns to St John’s Smith Square for a special two-part evening series featuring a collaboration with award-winning violinist Nicola Benedetti and an exclusive in conversation and performance with Royal Harpist Catrin Finch, hosted by Classic FM presenter John Suchet.
