Verdi’s Requiem with The Croydon Philharmonic Choir

Fairfield Halls

Verdi – Requiem

The Croydon Philharmonic Choir returns to Fairfield Halls with a performance of Verdi’s Requiem, one of the most dramatic and sumptuous works in the entire choral canon. The Croydon Philharmonic Choir is Croydon’s largest and longest-established classical choir – it was founded in 1914 – and the Verdi Requiem will see it at its very best.

With guest singers from other choirs, it will be over 100 strong on the night, with the further bonus of performing with the  London Mozart Players, restored to their own home venue once more. Music director David Gibson will be conducting choir and orchestra, and top-flight soloists will include the brilliant soprano Erica Eloff, one of the choir’s vice-presidents. It promises to be a wonderful celebratory occasion – not to be missed!
