Sarah Burnett appointed principal bassoon

Sarah Burnett has been appointed as the LMP’s new Principal Bassoon. She succeeds Gareth Newman who left the orchestra in 2009.

Sarah has been working with many orchestras, such as London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony and Royal Philharmonic, and is currently also Principal Bassoon at Britten Sinfonia. She has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, Fairfield, Bridgewater Hall and Purcell Room.
