Superstar cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason returns to Croydon’s Fairfield Halls with LMP on Sunday 13 February, 7.30pm. He’s presenting a ‘Fresh Take’ on Shostakovich’s dramatic Cello Concerto No.2, and will be chatting on stage with conductor Jonathan Bloxham before a full performance, giving insights and background to this incredible piece.
Also on the all-Russian programme is Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and acclaimed artist James Mayhew will be painting along live, his artwork projected on an overhead screen. This is a concert with a difference!
