Welcome to Andy Cole, our new Principal Trombone
We are delighted to announce that Andy Cole has been appointed the position of principal trombone with LMP.
Andy is a London based freelance trombone player who can regularly be seen performing with the country’s leading orchestras. He is a busy and versatile musician, equally at home playing in the pit of opera houses and West End shows as he is playing chamber music and performing on the concert platform. This versatility and experience have made him one of the most in-demand trombone players in the UK.
As a product of the famous Wardle High School in Rochdale where he had the opportunity to learn to play as a part of the all-inclusive brass band programme, he passionately believes in the value of music in society and the importance of nurturing talent from all backgrounds.
Andy has enjoyed performing with the LMP as a freelancer in recent years and is delighted to be joining the orchestra on a permanent basis!
