Name the Golden Goose Competition – London Mozart Players

Stephen Oliver’s completion of Mozart’s unfinished opera The Goose of Cairo will be freshly hatched in time for its UK premiere by the London Mozart Players at St John’s Smith Square on 14th April.

The London Mozart Players will be joined on stage for The Goose of Cairo by a giant golden goose that will be suspended above the stage at St John’s Smith Square. Our Marketing Manager has been busy hatching this golden creature for some weeks, but we think the LMP goose needs a name!

Just in time for Easter, we want you to name the golden goose for your chance to win a pair of golden VIP tickets to the concert and half a dozen fresh golden chocolate eggs from Fortnum & Mason.

We’re looking for an ingenious name that is fitting for a magical golden goose of Cairo. For inspiration, read the history of this eggs-tradinary opera and the story of the fabled golden goose on our news & blog page.

HOW TO ENTER:

Enter your suggestions via Twitter using the hashtag #LMPgoose and tagging in @mozartplayers, alternatively visit our Facebook page, where you can submit your entry by commenting on the post with your name suggestion.

The lucky winner will be given a box of golden praline filled Fortnum & Mason chocolate eggs and a pair of golden tickets to the performance of The Goose of Cairo on Thursday 14th April 2016. Golden tickets include an invite to the LMP’s drink reception after the concert in the Crypt of St John’s Smith Square and the opportunity to meet the soloists and musicians involved in the performance.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday 27th March 2016, any entries entered after this date will not be counted (please see full terms and conditions below). The winner will be announced on the LMP’s social media channels on Wednesday 30th March 2016.

The “Name the Golden Goose Competition” is sponsored the London Mozart Players.

By entering any prize draw or competition (“promotion”), you agree to be bound by the following rules.

Eligibility

1. All UK and Eire residents are eligible to enter the promotion. Entrants must be aged 18 or over.

Entry Requirements

2. To enter the promotion you need to follow the instructions above.

3. The closing date of the promotion is Sunday 27th March 2016, 12.00 (midnight).

4. The Promoter shall not be responsible for technical errors in telecommunications networks, internet access or otherwise or any third party products or actions preventing access to or participation into the promotion. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. Incomplete, inaudible and/or illegible entries will be disqualified.

Judging

5. All eligible entries received during the Submission Period on all social media channels will be gathered into a database at the end of the Submission Period. The winner will then be chosen from the list of submitted entries by an independent third party.

6. The judging criteria is as follows: To suggest the most ingenious and fitting name for a golden goose of Cairo.

7. The judge’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Winners

8. Winners will be notified to arrange for delivery/collection of their prize via the method of social media they entered through.

9. The name of the winner will be published on the London Mozart Players’ social media accounts.

10. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to our notification within 28 days from the date and time contact was initially attempted or notification was sent, we will be entitled to select an alternative winner.

11. Information supplied by winners will be shared across social media for the purpose of prize fulfilment only.

Prizes

12. The prize consists of: x2 VIP tickets to the performance of The Goose of Cairo at St John’s Smith Square on 14th April, and a box Fortnum & Mason’s golden chocolate eggs. VIP tickets include an invitation to the LMP’s drinks reception after the concert at St John’s Smith Square.

13. The prizes are as stated and are non-transferable. No transport or accommodation is included in the prize.

14. Prizes cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged.

15. Ticket prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount and do not apply to tickets already booked.

16. The provision of the prizes does not imply endorsement by the Promoter of any other third parties concerned in any way with the Promotion. Any complaints or queries relating to the use of the prizes should be directed to the relevant supplier.

17. Promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Participants agree to release Facebook and Twitter from all liability in connection with any Promotion. Participants are providing information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Twitter.

General

18. The Promoter shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winners and any guests is such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Neither shall the Promoter be liable to the winners and any guests for any loss or damage caused, save for death or personal injury caused by the Promoter or fraud by the Promoter.

19. Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant. These elements may be used by the Promoter in any and all media in perpetuity throughout the world as the Promoter sees fit.

20. The Promoter reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these terms and conditions at any stage.

21. Any personal information collected by the Promoter in connection with a competition will be used in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.
